9 Dream Holiday Destinations You Didn't Know Existed

It’s that time of year again. The holiday season is getting closer and, the travel bug is itching and we are all looking for the perfect holiday destinations to spend the festive period.

If you are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle, then these 10 dream destinations might just be what you are looking for!

1) Son Doong Cave, Vietnam

Son Doong Cave is one of the world’s largest natural caves, located on the Laos-Vietnam border. After being discovered in 2009, it’s been open to the public since 2013. The cave is relatively young for a cave being about 3 million years old in a limestone area dating back 400 million years. The cave has two skylights which allow light into the cave. It’s an incredible place to explore and there are activities you can do whilst you’re there.

Cape Town is one of South Africa’s three capital cities. Steeped with a mix of natural, cultural and culinary adventures to explore, it’s a great destination for a holiday. Table Mountain is World famous for its spectacular views and Table Bay for its blue waters. Just dreamy!

Kruger National Park, in northeastern South Africa, is one of Africa’s largest game reserves. Its high density of wild animals includes lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos. It really is the dream place to see wild animals in their natural habitat and it covers an area of almost 2 million hectares.

Patagonia is known for its breathtaking glaciers, jagged mountain peaks and an array of wildlife. It’s the southernmost tip of South America, shared by Argentina and Chile, with the Andes Mountains as its dividing line. It’s roughly one and a half times the size of the UK so there’s plenty to explore.

The Maldives are in Southern Asia, situated in the Indian Ocean. An idyllic location comprising of 1200 coral islands which afford you breathtaking clear blue seas and white sands. Famous for its overwater bungalows, it’s the perfect place to go for snorkelling and some rest and relaxation. I know I’d love to go!

6) Amazon Rainforest (Brazil), Brazil

The Amazon Rainforest covers much of northwestern Brazil and extends into Colombia, Peru and other South American countries, is the world’s largest tropical rainforest, home to a plethora of biodiversity. If you like exploring, this is the place to go. It’s the single largest remaining tropical rainforest in the world. There are many travel companies that host exploration holidays.

7) Galapagos Islands (Ecuador), Ecuador

The Galapagos Islands is a volcanic archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. It’s considered one of the world’s best places to go for wildlife viewing. You can expect to see different species of turtles, whales, dolphins, seals and many other incredible creatures.

8) Antelope Canyon (Arizona), USA

Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona, is the most famous slot canyon formation in all the world, and for good reason.

Tours of the canyon are around $90 per adult. They’re an incredible sight and something you’ll remember forever. You could even book an aerial tour to see it.

9) Palawan Island (Philippines), Philippines

Palawan is the largest of the islands, in the Palawan Province, western Philippines. Palawan Island has been voted the best island in the world in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2020, so you know it’s going to be a feast for your eyes and soul. There are crystal blue waters and pristine views along with diving sports to try out.
